The Ultra-III is a retro-looking guitar with a large number of modern refinements. The 3-piece mahogany neck, with a vintage C profile, is topped with a 22-fret Pau Ferro fingerboard and then deep-set into a Mahogany body. This gives the guitar a substantial feel and weight, and delivers a darker tone with a punchy mid-range. Fitted with Grover 135 tuners and 22 extra-jumbo frets, the comfortable neck is thick enough to play chords easily but slim enough to give you great playability for leads. You also get a GraphTech Tusq XL nut that helps prevent string-snagging during vibrato use. 

The Ultra III offers you a huge palette of sounds, with a multitude of tone-shaping controls and switches. It features a set of three Schecter Diamond Alnico Plus Goldfoil humbuckers with an overwound bridge pickup, each with its own individual coil split switch. Rounding out the retro-modern circuit is a 5-position rotary selector switch and a no-load tone pot equipped with a Paper-In-Oil capacitor.

To provide the smoothest and most stable playing experience, the hardware is rounded out with a licensed Bigsby B50 tailpiece to add warbles to chords and sustained notes. There is also a TonePros Roller bridge that helps strings glide over the rolling saddles when the tremolo is used and return to their standard position after use – keeping your guitar in tune.

All of these features make for an extremely versatile electric guitar. You would need multiple guitars to cover this much ground – and that makes the Schecter Ultra-III a great value.
