This is a mint Fender Jaguar NOS 3 Kurt Cobain (2016). I’m making this a complete package by bundling the guitar with an SKB-62 Jaguar/Jazzmaster Hardshell Case ($220 Value).

This Signature Cobain Jaguar is a “new-looking” version of the battered and highly unusual 1965 Jaguar that Cobain wielded during the early-’90s era when Nirvana ruled. It is authentic to the modified Jaguar that Cobain found secondhand and came to prize shortly after the recording of their classic 1991 album, Nevermind.

The guitar features a strong and durable gloss polyester finish in classic Three-Color Sunburst. It features an Alder body and a Modern “C” Maple neck. It also features the mid-’60s touch of a rosewood fingerboard with elegant white binding. The special neck plate is engraved with a Fender “logo” originally doodled by Kurt Cobain in his journals.

The supercharged sound of the Kurt Cobain Jaguar comes from its hot-rodded high-output pickup configuration, consisting of a DiMarzio® humbucking DP103 PAF 36th Anniversary neck pickup and DP100 Super Distortion bridge pickup. Rather than the traditional Jaguar two-knob configuration for the lead circuit (master volume and master tone), the Kurt Cobain Jaguar has three control knobs on the lower bout—a volume control for each humbucking pickup and a single master tone control.

This guitar comes with an exclusive Fender Kurt Cobain book, with photos and commentary by photographer Charles Peterson and an insightful interview with Nirvana guitar tech Earnie Bailey.

While this Jaguar can definitely get you to that dark and huge grunge sound of 90’s, it will also give you most of the sounds you’d expect from an authentic Fender Jaguar rom the 60’s.
