This is a Premier Dreadnought Copper CE Electro/Acoustic guitar. It was displayed at the 2018 Winter NAMM show in Anaheim, and it served as the prototype for the “Concerto” model which arrived soon thereafter. (The label in the soundhole is actually stamped “Prototype.”) As a brand new model taken to music conventions, Breedlove ensured that the guitar was built to top specifications, making it equal (or superior) to a factory released guitar. It is in near mint condition and it plays wonderfully.
Breedlove’s goal with this guitar was to improve upon the traditional dreadnought sound, and they succeeded in creating a much warmer voice than traditional guitars.
If you’re inspired by the familiarity of a dread, the shape of this guitar is slightly more rounded than traditional dreadnoughts and produces beautifully full, punchy, and articulate tones. The hand-graduated top provides the balance and clarity which makes this a very expressive-sounding dreadnoughts.
This Premier Dreadnought Copper CE acoustic electric guitar features a solid Sitka Spruce top on a solid East Indian Rosewood back and sides, with a Copper Burst gloss finish. The 25.5″ bolt on neck of the guitar offers a slimmer neck profile which enables comfortable play, even with smaller hands. The neck is made from Honduran Mahogany topped with an African Ebony fretboard, and features dart-shaped position marker inlays. The neck consists of 20 frets, and has a nut width of 1.75”, and Breedlove 3×3 nickel tuners with black buttons on the headstock. To complement the fretboard, the Delta bridge is also made of African Ebony. Both nut and saddle are made of synthetic Tusq.
This Premier Dreadnought is equipped with The L.R. Baggs EAS VTC system, mounted on the inside top of the sound hole making it easy to control the guitar’s volume and tone when amplified.
The guitar comes in a deluxe hardshell case with a padded handle, red stitching and gold hardware.
